Nigerian Exports: Chima & Aremu Trade Goals; Odey Wins Silverware With FC Zurich

A handful of Nigerian exports had reason to smile about after yesterday's football action in Europe and we have recapped them thus

Molde striker, Daniel Chima and IK Start midfielder, Afeez Aremu traded goals for their respective clubs in Molde's 3-1 victory over their opponents in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday evening.

Aremu who joined the Sør Arena outfit in January equalised for his club in the 33rd minute shortly after the hosts had gone ahead through Etzaz Hussain.

But the 18-year old heroics were soon rendered null as goals from his compatriot, Chima and another from Fredrik Aursnes consigned his team to defeat.

In 12 league outings for the club, the energetic midfielder has found the net twice.

Elsewhere, former MFM striker Stephen Odey got his hands on his first piece of silverware in the colours of FC Zurich as they defeated Young Boys 2-1 in the final of the Swiss Schweizer Pokal cup.

The 20-year old played three games in the competition for Zurich enroute to the showpiece while scoring twice in 13 league appearances for them this season but was not selected for action at the Stade De Suisse yesterday.
