NWPL: Confluence Queens Return To Winning Ways
Nigeria Women Premier League side, Confluence Queens FC of Lokoja on Wednesday bounced back to winning ways following a 1-0 victory over Ibom Angels Football Club of Uyo<br /><br />A late first half minute goal from midfielder, Ameachi Ojini, was all the Wada Queens needed to sealed the three needed points as the NWPL gradually coming to an end.<br /><br />Confluence Queens were the better side but the slim win was not a good reflection of the Wada Queens performance in the Nigeria Women Premier League encounter.<br /><br />Speaking through the club Spokesperson Tosin Ojo, the chairman of the side Mallam Abdul Sule, rues his girls missed chance<br /><br />“I am not really satisfied with our performance today, though the win is very important for us but, I think the players are affected by fatigue after runs of matches they have played.”<br /><br />However, Abdul Sule remain confident his side will get better and finish in a good position.<br /><br />“I think the team will bounce back, we are confident we will finish among the top three at the end of the season.”<br /><br />Confluence Queens have gathered 17 points from eleven matches and will next take on Martin Whyte Dove in Lokoja.
