Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins is doubtful for this weekend&rsquo;s clash against Sporting Kansas, having failed to recover from a tibial contusion. <br /><br />The former Nigeria international missed&nbsp; Seattle&rsquo;s 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday on account of the same ailment and did not take part in training on Tuesday for the third time since last week.<br /><br />&ldquo;[Martins] looks unlikely for this weekend,&rdquo; manager Sigi Schmid told reporters after the practice session on Tuesday.<br /><br />&ldquo;He&rsquo;s in the gym and working, but he can&rsquo;t get on the field yet.&rdquo;<br /><br />In 8 outings in the MLS, Obafemi Martins has scored 6 goals for the CenturyLink Field outfit.<br /><br />Photo Credit : mlssoccer.com<br />
