Osaze is of Russian roots, as he was born in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR which is under the now defunct Soviet Union to a Nigerian father and a Russian mother.

''On my way to moscow! Mum is waiting ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‹. Still good enough to be in Naija squad but nothing spoil. Happy to be there for some media work. Rooting for 🇷🇺 🇳🇬 ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ 🇧🇪 🇫🇷 âš½ï¸ðŸ†#RUSSIA_2018,'' Odemwingie tweeted on his official twitter handle.
