<font size="3">Through official channels, newly promoted Portuguese Primeira Liga club Uni&atilde;o da Madeira have announced the signing of Nigeria international Abdullahi Shehu. <br /><br />The 22 - year - old has put pen to paper on a two - year deal with the Unionists until the end of the 2016 - 2017 campaign.<br /><br />The defensive all-rounder had been courted by Sporting Lisbon last summer, before he moved to Qadsia SC in Kuwait.<br /><br />During his one - year stint with Qadsia SC, he assisted the club win the AFC Cup, Emir Cup and Super Cup.<br /><br />In his homeland, Abdullahi Shehu starred for Kano Pillars before his move overseas.</font><br />
