Through official channels, Canvey Island FC have announced the signing of the versatile Nigerian defender Gabby Adelowo in their bid to beat the drop. <br /><br />The Billericay Town starlet will remain on loan at <i>The Islanders</i> for the remainder of the 2016-2017 campaign.<br /><br />Adelowo numbers Aldershot Town and Queens Park Rangers among his former clubs. <br /><br />On his debut on Saturday, he lasted the distance as Canvey Island were hammered 5-0 by league leaders Bognor Regis Town, with Fulham loanee Elijah Adebayo netting a hat-trick for <i>The Rocks</i>.<br /><br />Gabby Adelowo can be deployed as a central defender, right back and central midfielder.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : billericaytownfc.co.uk<br />
