EFL League Two club, Lincoln City have announced that they have acquired the services of Nigerian striker, John Akinde from Barnet for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year old joins the Imps on a three-year deal after ending his four-year spell with Barnet who were relegated to the National League last season.
"It is never easy to sign a player with this type of goalscoring record and John is unique in also possessing all of the qualities that we were looking for in a centre forward," coach Danny Cowley told Lincoln City's official website.
"This is a big signing for Lincoln City but also a really important decision for John, so we are delighted that he feels his ambitions can be realised at Sincil Bank."
Thus, the Camberwell-born player becomes the club's fifth summer signing.
Akinde previously had spells with Ebbsfleet United, Bristol City, Wycombe Wanderers, Brentford, Dagenham & Redbridge, Crawley Town, Portsmouth and Alfreton Town.
