Aston Villa have confirmed that Tiago Ilori has joined the club on a season - long loan from Liverpool, hours leading up to the close of the summer transfer market in England.<br /><br />The 22 - year - old has struggled to break into The Reds first team ever since he arrived Anfield from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2013.<br /><br />And as a result, the versatile defender was farmed out on loan first to Granada before joining Bordeaux in the 2014 - 15 campaign in order to get regular first team football.<br /><br />Tiago Ilori is yet to play a game for Liverpool in the Premier League but was included in the 18 - man squad for games against Crystal Palace and Sunderland.<br /><br />The London - born player represented Portugal at the European Under 21 Championship in June.<br /><br />Photo Credit : liverpoolfc.com<br /><br /><br />
