With a statement on their official website, Atletico Madrid have announced that Nigeria international Rasheedat Ajibade has committed her future to the Spanish Primera Iberdrola club by signing a new contract.
The Super Falcon is now tied to Las Rojiblancas until 2025 after putting pen to paper on a new three-year deal.
Signed January 2021 from the Norwegian team Avaldsnes IL, Ajibade is credited with 21 appearances in the Spanish top division of which seven were starts.
The very skillful forward netted her first league goal against Valencia in February 2021, followed by strikes against Rayo Vallecano, Real Betis (2) and Villarreal (2).
A member of the Nigeria squad to the Women's World Cup in 2019, Ajibade has also represented the country in the U17 and U20 World Cups.
Speaking on her new deal, she said : "I am very happy to renew for three more years with Atlético de Madrid and to be able to continue defending these colors".
