EFL League Two club Shrewsbury Town have announced their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2025-2026 season, with decisions made on three young players of Nigerian descent.
The Shrews confirmed that Trey Ogunsuyi (Sunderland), Temple Ojinnaka (Wolverhampton Wanderers) and Bradley Ihionvien (Peterborough United) have all returned to their parents clubs.
A Belgium U19 international, Ogunsuyi joined Shrewsbury Town in the January transfer window, after spending the first half of the season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Falkirk.
The highlight of the forward's loan spell at Shrewsbury Town was netting a brace in a 3-2 win at Chesterfield.
Ihionvien, who joined Shrewsbury Town on deadline day last summer, scored three goals in thirteen outings during his season-long loan spell.
A product of the Colchester United academy, the 22-year-old has made twenty appearances for parent club Peterborough United.
Versatile defender Ojinnaka, who can play in midfield, at centre-back and at fullback, featured in four League Two matches after joining Shrewsbury Town in the winter transfer market.
Before his loan move, the Wolves-owned player was called up for two Premier League matches against Manchester United and Everton.
