With a statement on the official website, Swedish Allsvenskan side BK Häcken has confirmed the return of Jeremy Agbonifo on a loan deal from French side RC Lens, marking the 20-year-old winger’s third spell with the Swedish club.
The loan deal runs until the summer, providing Häcken with a proven attacking option as the club gears up for the spring campaign.
Agbonifo rejoined the team following a 2-0 friendly win over Örgryte IS, signaling his readiness to contribute immediately.
Agbonifo first came through the youth system at BK Häcken before moving to FC Porto’s academy and returned to Sweden in February 2024.
In January 2025, Agbonifo moved to Ligue 1 side RC Lens, but regular first-team opportunities proved limited.
He subsequently spent time on loan at Swiss club FC Basel to gain consistent playing minutes.
Now, his return to Häcken offers him the platform to regain form and confidence in a familiar environment.
BK Häcken’s management expressed excitement over Agbonifo’s return, highlighting his experience in the Allsvenskan and the immediate impact he could have on the squad.
The winger’s familiarity with the club’s style and culture is expected to help him integrate quickly, strengthening Häcken’s attacking options as they aim to compete strongly in the upcoming fixtures.
