Chinese League One club Shenzhen FC have officially announced with pride the signing of Nigeria international Chinedu Obasi. <br /><br />Though the duration of the contract Obasi signed was not disclosed, it is understood he will remain with the team coached by Sven-Goran Eriksson until the end of the 2017 campaign.<br /><br />The 30-year-old Obasi numbers Lyn Oslo, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, Schalke 04 and AIK among his former clubs.<br /><br />Swedish Allsvenskan side AIK wanted to prolong his stay in Stockholm but he preferred a move to China, where he is certain of earning higher wages. <br /><br />Sunderland offered a trial to Obasi in October 2015 but nothing came out of it. <br /><br />Ifeanyi Emmanuel <br />
