Through their official website, Greek Super League giants Olympiakos have confirmed the signing of Henry Onyekuru.
The Nigeria international winger has ended his affiliation with Monaco after putting pen to paper on a four-year contract with Olympiakos until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Olympiakos had been on the trail of Onyekuru since the start of the summer transfer window but encountered difficulties getting the deal over the line because he was also on the wish list of clubs in Turkey.
The Aspire Academy product is set to follow in the footsteps of attack-minded Nigerian players Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Emenike, Brown Ideye, Haruna Babangida and Michael Olaitan who previously made appearances for the Red-Whites.
In his first words after the deal was finalized, Onyekuru said : "I know it's a big club in Greece, the biggest, and have good ambition, target every season and always in the Champions League.
"I know of two Nigerians who played here before and I'm just here to contribute and to give one hundred percent, become a champion countless times, achieve my goals and aim with the club."
The 24-year-old Onyekuru counts Eupen, Everton, Anderlecht and Galatasaray as his previous clubs.
