Egypt and Senegal will contest the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations at the Olembe Stadium, Yaoundé on Sunday night.
To get to the final, record champions Egypt required extra time to see off the challenge of Ivory Coast , Morocco and Cameroon while The Lions of Teranga beat their opponents in the knockout rounds over the course of ninety minutes.
Nigeria legend Austin Okocha does not think the Pharaohs are at a disadvantage heading into the showpiece despite all their knockout games going into extra time and Senegal having an extra day to prepare.
Previewing the final on SuperSport, Okocha stated : "They have nothing to reserve. It's just one game and they know that if they get it right they'll go out of this tournament as winners.
"I don't think fatigue will be any problem, you know that you have done ever so well to get to this stage.
"You know you have to give everything, you don't even think about going back to your club, whatever you want to go back as a hero, so I don't think fatigue will come to play".
Okocha fancies Senegal's chances of winning their first Africa Cup of Nations in history and highlighted that they are the top ranked team in Africa.
"They have done well, you are not number one in the continent for nothing.
"They have proven it, they were finalists also in the last edition so I think they will be looking forward to going one step better this time around but it's not going to be easy," he concluded.
Senegal and Egypt will also face off in the final stage of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup next month.
