Victor Osimhen paid tribute to Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara after Galatasaray's  5-2 win over Juventus in a UEFA Champions League encounter at Rams Park on Tuesday evening.

A thrilling and hard-fought match saw Noa Lang and Teun Koopmeiners score braces for their respective sides, but it was the decisive contributions of Gabriel Sara and Osimhen that swung the game in Galatasaray's favour.

Sara opened the scoring in the 15th minute and added an assist in the 60th, while Osimhen delivered a brace of late assists in the final sixteen minutes, first setting up Noa Lang and then Sacha Boey.

Sara was named Player of the Match, with the UEFA Technical Observer Group praising him for scoring a goal, providing an assist, excelling defensively, and displaying precise passing in what they described as 'almost a perfect game'.

Shortly after the game, Sara was giving a pitchside interview when it was interrupted by Osimhen, who was seen carrying his daughter.

When asked for a brief comment on Sara, the Nigeria international replied, "He has been one of our best players. We rely on him, and he deserves it".

Osimhen has now recorded back-to-back braces of assists at club level for the first time in his professional career, a feat he had previously achieved only with the Nigeria national team before facing Juventus.
