Onyekachi Apam Placed On The Transfer Market

Nigeria international Onyekachi Apam has been declared surplus to requirement by Ligue 1 side Rennes.<br /><br />In other words, the 26 - year - old defender has been placed on the transfer market, with his contract set to expire in June 2014.<br /><br />The ex Enugu Rangers ace has been blighted by injuries since he joined Rennes in 2010 from OGC Nice, managing 23 appearances in the French top flight. <br /><br />New Rennes gaffer <span class="notranslate">Philippe Montanier has not fielded Onyekachi Apam in any of the build up games since the start of pre - season training.<br /><br />Apam's last international game for the Super Eagles was against Democratic Republic of the Congo more than four years ago.<br /><br />A move to one of the clubs in the English Premier League is being mooted for the versatile defender.<br /><br />Photo Credit : uefa.com<br /></span>
