Through a statement on their official website, Greek Super League champions Olympiakos have confirmed the signing of former Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike.

Though the financial terms and duration of the deal have not been disclosed, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed by an Olympiakos insider that the striker has penned a two-year contract, with an option to extend an additional year.

In his first words as an Olympiakos player, Emenike said : ''I want to let our fans know that I am here to play and give my best for the club.

''I will always give my best when I am on the pitch; for the club and its fans!''

Previously, the 30-year-old Emenike represented Karabükspor, Fenerbahçe, Spartak Moscow, Al Ain and West Ham.
