PL wrap: Palace's Uche, Wolves' Arokodare come off the bench in defeats to Man Utd, Aston Villa

Allnigeriasoccer.com provides a recap of how Nigeria internationals fared in Premier League action on Sunday, November 30.

At Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace suffered their first home defeat since February, falling 2-1 to Manchester United despite taking the lead.

Jean-Philippe Mateta opened the scoring in the 36th minute, converting his penalty at the second attempt after VAR ruled out his initial effort for a double touch.

United responded strongly after the break, with goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount completing the comeback for the visitors.

In search of a late equaliser, manager Oliver Glasner introduced Christantus Uche for Yéremy Pino with twelve minutes remaining.

Uche is still awaiting his full Premier League debut, three months after joining on loan from Getafe.

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers extended their winless run to 13 Premier League matches after suffering a sixth consecutive defeat, this time at Villa Park.

Boubacar Kamara’s powerful strike midway through the second half sealed the victory for Aston Villa.

Hoping to salvage something from the match, manager Rob Edwards brought on Tolu Arokodare in the 88th minute.

The Super Eagles striker is still searching for his first Premier League goal after nine appearances.

Recuperating duo Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina were not included in the Nottingham Forest squad that lost 2-0 to Brighton & Hove Albion at the City Ground.

The Seagulls made it three wins from four courtesy of goals from Maxim De Cuyper and Stefanos Tzimas.
