PL2: After training with first team in Dublin, Musa on target for Manchester United

Manchester United were beaten 3-1 by Newcastle United in their final Premier League 2 regular season game on Friday, April 10, with three Nigeria-eligible forwards on parade for the young Red Devils at The Progress With Unity Stadium.

Victor Musa played the full match, while Noah Ajayi featured for 28 minutes and Chido Obi appeared in the first half.

It was Musa's first game for Manchester United after training with the first team in Dublin before Monday's Premier League clash with Leeds United.

Newcastle made a blistering start, racing into a two-goal lead within the opening eight minutes.

Matheos Ferreira opened the scoring in the fifth minute before Sean Neave quickly doubled the advantage with a superbly taken lob three minutes later.

Musa pulled one back for the hosts with a header eight minutes after the restart, but Anthony Munda netted deep into stoppage time to secure three points for the Young Magpies.

After firing blanks in his first seven Premier League 2 games, the Spanish-English-Nigerian forward has picked up form in the past month.

In his last four appearances in the Premier League 2, Musa has tallied four goals, including a brace against Southampton.
