Fifteen players of Nigerian descent have been invited to the English youth teams for international matches in October after the English Football Association announced the squad lists for the U17 and U18 National Teams.
England U18 boss Neil Dewsnip has picked six players with Nigerian blood flowing in their veins : Arthur Okonkwo (Arsenal), Ajibola Alese (West Ham), Nathaniel Ogbeta (Man City), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Faustino Anjorin (Chelsea) and Folarin Balogun (Arsenal).
The six players are all in contention to add to their international caps when the Young Lions face Sweden (October 11) and Czech Republic (October 15).
Former Arsenal starlet Armstrong Okoflex has been selected in a 21-man group by England U17 boss Steve Cooper for a four nations tournament featuring Brazil, Russia and the United States.
A winger by trade, Okoflex previously represented Republic of Ireland U16s and England U16s.
