Three English Premier League stars in the shape of Everton's Alex Iwobi and Leicester City duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are among the first set of Super Eagles players to react via social media in the wake of the 3-0 rout of Lesotho in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match held at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu saw Nigeria remain unbeaten through the six games in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
It was a special game for Ndidi and Iwobi as they finally played for the Super Eagles in Lagos, where they were born; the holding midfielder went the full ninety while the winger was replaced with sixteen minutes left on the clock.
Top scorer for Nigeria in the qualifiers, Osimhen opened the scoring when he pounced on a pass from Iheanacho, who was on parade for 86 minutes.
Here's what the three Premier League players posted on Instagram :
Wilfred Ndidi : "Qualifying in style 🦅🇳🇬Thank you Lagos, it’s a pleasure".
Kelechi Iheanacho : "Eagles 🦅🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🤟🽠We move".
Alex Iwobi : "Qualified & Unbeaten #YaaDigg 🤟ðŸ½ðŸ‡³ðŸ‡¬".
