Southampton have offered a contract extension to the promising Nigerian teenager Joshua Debayo, writes the official webpage of the Premier League. <br /><br />The 19-year-old was one of the players retained by the Saints when the Premier League published the list of retained players on Friday.<br /><br />A product of the academy team of Chelsea, Adebayo joined Southampton from the Blues in 2013 before penning a professional contract the same year after displaying his wares for the U18s.<br /><br />Described as a pacy and athletic defender, he was a left fullback before he was converted to a central defender .<br /><br />Ex-Arsenal striker Olufela Olomola penned a two-year deal with the St Mary&rsquo;s outfit in May.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : saintsfc.co.uk<br />
