Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton has labelled trialist Moses Odubajo a class act following his brilliant goal in a 4-2 pre-season win against Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
A sporting reunion is on the cards as Odubajo was tutored by Warburton at Brentford during the 2014-2015 season.
The 27-year-old, currently a free agent following his release by Sheffield Wednesday, has been training with the Hoops.
The 2014 Nigeria U23 invitee has had well-documented injury problems in the past so has to prove he is in tip-top condition before he is offered a contract by Queens Park Rangers.
Twelve minutes into the second half against Manchester United, Odubajo scored arguably the pick of the goals with a brilliant long range effort that found the top corner.
In quotes relayed by West London Sport, Warburton said : "I know all about Moses. I know him inside out. He’s a class act on and off the field.
"He’s had a frustrating time with injury and there’s no doubt about his quality, we’re just looking at his fitness and durability – and he showed that this afternoon in abundance. You saw what a talented boy he is.
"I thought he had an outstanding game. From the first kick and first tackle he was on the front foot".
Odubajo offers versatility to the Queens Park Rangers squad, if signed, given his ability to play as a right-back, left-back, right wing-back and left wing-back.
