Cedric Omoigui Training With Mallorca First Team
Published: July 12, 2013Nigeria Under 20 National Team invitee Cedric Omoigui traveled with the Mallorca first team squad to Oosterbeek, Holland for a training camp on Thursday, July 11.
The 18 - year - old, the youngest player in the roster, hopes to impress manager José Luis Oltra at the end of the exercise.
And if the teenager succeeds, he will be promoted to the main squad of Mallorca who are targeting immediate promotion to La Liga at the end of the 2013 - 2014 season.
''Now I am with Mallorca first team for pre - season training.
''At the moment, I am just training with the squad but if the coach needs me at the end of the camp, I'll be registered for the senior squad.
''I played for the Mallorca reserves last season but the coach called me because I did very well when I trained with the first team.
''We have some test games to play. Then on 24th of July, we go back to Mallorca.
''Hopefully, I get to play on Saturday against Cologne,'' Omoigui told allnigeriasoccer.com.
