Godfrey Oboabona To Wait For Rizespor Debut
Published: September 28, 2013Nigeria international Godfrey Oboabona will have to wait again to make his debut for Turkish Super League outfit Rizespor.
The 23 - year - old did not make manager Riza Calimbay’s preliminary roster for the encounter against Galatasaray at Türk Telekom Arena on Saturday.
In recent days, the center back has embarked on a public relations campaign to justify his inactivity for Rizespor, claiming that he did not take part in pre-season training and the manager is still running the rule over him.
This is not the first time the former Sunshine Stars skipper has dropped a red herring.
Talking from both sides of the mouth, Oboabona had earlier told allnigeriasoccer.com that his inability to communicate with his teammates in Turkish was the reason behind his spell on the sidelines.
Godfrey Oboabona’s Turkish representative has insisted that his client has no problem with Rizespor and the coach wants to gradually introduce him to the championship.
