Malta Federation Suspends Alfred Effiong
Published: November 14, 201328 - year - old Nigerian striker Alfred Effiong is among the 13 players in the Malta Premier League suspended for the next round of games.
The Qormi attacker has been handed a one - match ban by the disciplinary committee of the Malta Football Association after he picked up his fourth booking of the season in last weekend’s tie away to Floriana.
Effiong, who has spent the last seven years in Malta, will not feature for Qormi when they take on Stanley Ohawuchi’s Sliema Wanderers on November 24.
He is Qormi’s top scorer in the championship with 4 goals in 10 matches.
