Nigeria Qualifies For Fifth World Cup
The Super Eagles have qualified for their fifth World Cup in the last six tournaments after defeating Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia 2 - 0 at the U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar on Saturday.

Thus, the continental champions, the first team to qualify in Africa, progress 4 - 1 on aggregate, having won the first leg tie in Addis Ababa  2 - 1.

The game might not have offered plenty of excitement but Nigeria finished the business, scoring in each half.

Liverpool striker Victor Moses netted from the spot in the 21st minute after defender Aynalem Hailu was adjudged to have handled the box in his own 18 - yard box.

The strike was Moses third in three games against Ethiopia this calender year, having scored a brace when both countries met in the group stage of the African Cup of Nations.

Lokomotiv Moscow attacker Victor Obinna came off the bench in the 79th minute and three minutes later curled a free-kick out of reach of  the Ethiopian wall and goalkeeper Bancha.

Next for Nigeria is a high profile exhibition match against Italy in London on Monday, November 18.
