Emmanuel Emenike Sad Karpin Was Fired As Spartak Moscow Manager
Published: March 19, 2014Fenerbahce attacker Emmanuel Emenike is sad the decision makers at his past club Spartak Moscow fired manager Valery Karpin.
Following a poor run of results, the Russian Premier League outfit relieved the retired international of his duties on Tuesday.
Speaking to sportbox.ru, the African Cup of Nations golden boot winner said : “Karpin is a great coach. Glad I was able to work with him. I still feel sorry for the Karpin for not being able to help the team win the championship of Russia.
“Hopefully this season my former partners will be able to win gold medals in the championship of Russia.”
Emmanuel Emenike , 26, netted 3 goals in 4 matches for Spartak Moscow before his transfer to Fenerbahce in August.
He joined the capital team in the summer of 2011 from the Yellow Canaries.
