Abdul Ajagun Wins Goal Of The Week AwardAbdul Ajagun’s goal in the 1 - 0 defeat of PAS Giannina last weekend has been chosen as the Goal of the Week for the 29th round of matches in the Greece Super League.

Recall that in his post match comments after the game, the Panathinaikos attacking midfielder admitted that it was his best strike since he started playing the round leather game.

And the organizers of the award have agreed with him by picking his 36th minute strike as the most eye catching out of the 28 goals scored in the top flight for the period.

“I feel very happy as a footballer. It was not easy for me, but generally in life one must move on, whatever situation you encounter. I am very happy and I feel great here, something that helps me as a player,” Abdul Ajagun was quoted as saying by Nova Sports.

Stephen Keshi has strongly hinted that he would hand an invitation to the former Flying Eagles skipper if he continues churning out fine performances for Panathinaikos and it is now up to the Nigeria gaffer to honor his earlier promise.

“It depends on the coach of the Nigeria National, who knows me as a player. If you invite me to fight in my National team, will be something honorable.

“It is important to represent your country. In football anything can happen. So far there has been no contact,” says Ajagun.

By the way, the 21 - year - old is the second Nigerian player to win the Goal of the Week award this season after ex Aris Thessaloniki star Chigozie Udoji.
