Kenneth Omeruo Reveals He Sticks To Oboabona Like Glue On And Off The Pitch
Published: May 15, 2014
Chelsea starlet Kenneth Omeruo reckons that he has a good understanding with his central defensive partner Godfrey Oboabona, having played with him at Sunshine Stars of Akure few years back.
Also, the Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi was a center back during his playing days and his handouts before national team matches make his job on the pitch easier.
“I do have a good friendship with Godfrey Oboabona off the pitch, we talk on Skype sometimes. Before the national team I used to play with him in the Nigerian league with Sunshine Stars.
“Most times before games Stephen Keshi gives us both separate advice. He tries to psyche us up as much as possible.
“As well as that, he is a father who advises us. He’s a really good man to play under,” Kenneth Omeruo told fifa.com.
Attracting interest from teams in France and the English Championship, Omeruo’s priority is to remain with the Londoners if they meet his demand for improved wages.
