Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast Storm Ogun For Frenage International Tourney
Published: May 23, 2014Ibadan based Frenage Soccer Academy, A Square Sports International and Ogun State Football Association have joined hands to organize maiden Under-13/Under-16 International Soccer Tourney tagged ‘Ogun Unity Cup’.
Ghana, Togo, Cameroon and Cote d’voire will storm Ogun for the Frenage Intl Tourney in a bid to expose Nigerian youngsters to their fellow young footballers from West African countries.
The soccer championship which would attract participants from all states of the federations and five West African countries namely: Ghana, Togo, Republic of Benin, Cameroun and Ivory Coast for an event scheduled for Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
All the participants especially teams from West African countries according to the tournament coordinator Akinpelu Akinkunmi have confirmed their readiness to storm Nigeria by 7th June the arrival date for the one week tournament while grand finale is slated for Sunday 15th June.
Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, the grand patron of the body organizing the event has confirmed his readiness to welcome the foreign teams and declare the tourney open, urging Nigerian participants to give their best and take good advantage of competing with fellow players from neighboring countries as scouts would be invited from many professional clubs overseas to pick players of their choice.
