Dynamo Kiev Doctor Apologizes To Yussuf Ayila Over Age Comments
Published: May 28, 2014
Dynamo Kiev doctor, Leonid Myronov has declared that statements credited to him by Ukrainian media regarding the age of Yussuf Ayila were taken out of context or in layman’s language, his words were misinterpreted.
At the start of the week, Myronov was quoted to have said that the Nigeria international falsified his age on his official documents sent to Fifa and the Ukrainian Federation.
In an interview with the official website of the Kievites, the medical doctor appears to be double speaking.
Leonid Myronov told fcdynamo.kiev.ua : “My words have been interpreted by the journalist in a wrong way. Answering the question I told about possible difference between biological and actual age of a person.
“It’s a commonly known fact. I used Yussuf’s name as an example and I want to apologize to him. He is a great person and true professional.”
