Kano Pillars Midfielder, Abdullahi Shehu Transfer To Al Orubah 99% Completed
Published: June 14, 2014
Saudi Arabian Pro League side, Al Orubah, are close to wrapping up a deal for Kano Pillars midfielder Abdullahi Shehu, according to the Nigerian edition of Soccer Laduma, SL10.ng.
The missing gaps that had earlier been a stumbling block have been filled, and this has effectively brought the curtain down on negotiations.
The 21 - year - old is expected to append his signature to at least a four - year contract, though Al Orubah higher ups are insisting that he commits his future to them for the next five years.
Nigeria champions Kano Pillars are aware that Abdullahi Shehu is one of the big fishes at the club and did not want to allow him leave without the Saudi Arabian club knocking on their door with a sack of money.
A transfer fee thought to be in the region of $200,000 would tempt Kano Pillars to shred their agreement with the former Flying Eagles star and release him to Al Orubah.
If there is no last minute change, Abdullahi Shehu will resume pre - season training with Al Orubah in Turkey in the next nine days.
