High Court Sacks NFF Board

The entire of Board of the Nigeria Football Federation has been sacked following a law suit by Ebiakpo Rumson Baribote, the owner of Glo Premier League side, Nembe City.
A Plateau High Court in Jos granted an Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari from running affairs of Nigerian football forthwith.
Also, the the Executive Committee members as well as the NFF Congress will not be eligible to handle football matters in the country pending the determination of the Motion on Notice before the court.
The Minister of Sports, Tamuno Danagogo has appointed Lawrence Longyir Katken as acting Secretary General, and he will take over the running of the Nigeria Federation until the case is resolved in court.
Justice Lot fixed next Friday, July 11, 2014 for hearing on the motion on notice.
