Published: July 11, 2014Taking stock of his performance for the Super Eagles at the World Cup, Michael Babatunde has scored himself high marks.
Had it not been for a fractured wrist which he sustained against Argentina, the 21 - year - old would have probably started the second round clash with France.
“Although the injury I sustained was a kind of setback for me, I am not discouraged in terms of my potential.
“I know my ability as a player and I want to state it that my best was not what Nigerians saw in the two matches I featured in.
“But I am happy with my performance, because I was able to prove many people wrong, including those who thought my name was a mistake on the list,”the Volyn Lutsk winger said.
Michael Babatunde is back in Nigeria undergoing rehabilitation, and can only resume full training with his Ukrainian team in the next two weeks.
