Brown Ideye Delighted With West Brom Move
Published: July 19, 2014In his first words after his record transfer to West Brom from Dynamo Kiev, Super Eagles attacker Brown Ideye says he is looking forward to kick-starting his career at The Hawthorns.
The 25 - year - old drew the curtain on his three - year stay in Kiev after penning a three - year deal with the Baggies on Friday, with a further year in the club’s favour.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life, to be at this club and play in England. I think this is a great opportunity for me to prove myself and do my best for the team,” Brown Ideye said to wba.co.uk.
“It’s nice to be the most expensive West Brom acquisition but I have to forget about it and focus on my game. The most important thing for me - to win every match. Sometimes it will be difficult, but we just have to win.
“Any striker like to score in every match. So I set myself a challenge, and always working hard to achieve this.”
Ideye is the fifth arrival at West Brom since the summer transfer market officially opened.
