Falconets Coach, Peter Dedevbo : I Am Ready For North Korea
Nigeria thrashed New Zealand 4 - 1 on Sunday night to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing World Cup for female players less than 20 years.

An early brace by Asisat Oshoala and two late goals from Uchechi Sunday have now set up a meeting with Korea DPR on Wednesday at the Moncton Stadium.

In his post match comments, coach Peter Dedevbo said : “I took this team when they were U17s in 2010, and at the U-17 World Cups in 2010 and 2012, we lost in the quarter-finals. ”

“Now that jinx is broken. We’ve made it to the semi-finals. I was not scared before the game because I know that, with the quality we have, this team would qualify. ”

“Scoring early changes the character of the team, it’s very good for the confidence, and then you play better and in a more relaxed way. I’m very satisfied with what we achieved, and now I’m ready for North Korea. ”

“I know their team, I know their coach, and I want to beat them at all costs. ”

North Korea qualified for the last four after defeating United States 3 - 1 on penalties.
