Emmanuel Ibok Edet Gets Off The Mark For Naxxar Lions

Former Nigeria youth international Emmanuel Ibok Edet got off the mark for his new club Naxxar Lions as they lost 2 - 1 to Tarxien Rainbows in match day five in the Malta Premier League 

The 25 - year - old dumped Floriana in the close season for Naxxar Lions, despite his previous employer wanting to extend his stay.

At the  TaQali National Stadium on Saturday, Ibok Edet pulled the score back to 2 - 1 with a header after 69 minutes,  after Jorge Santos and a Del Negro own goal had given Tarxien Rainbows a two - goal advantage.

Another Nigerian player Emenike Uchenna Mbachu started and completed the game for Naxxar Lions.

Naxxar Lions are still searching for their first win in the Premier League after 5 matches.
