Watford Striker Odion Ighalo Delighted To End His Goal Drought
Published: September 30, 2014Former Flying Eagles skipper Odion Ighalo was delighted to end his goal drought for Watford as they defeated Brentford 2 - 1 at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening, a game which corresponded to the 10th round in the English Championship.
Indeed, the former Udinese man last scored for his club back in May, scoring after 90 minutes while defending the colours of Granada in their 1 - 1 draw with Real Sociedad.
Odion Ighalo opened his goal account for Watford three minutes before the interval, and he was pleased to have found the back of the net for the first time for the Hornets.
“I am very happy to score, I have been waiting for this goal. Since I came to England, I have not been playing much because I had to adapt to the English style of play
“ I also had to work on my fitness. I will be getting more confidence with this goal, ” says Odion Ighalo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Watford are third on the table, but they have the same number of points with leaders Norwich City, who have a superior goal difference.
