Ejele National U-18 Tourney Excites Sapele Youths

Youths in Sapele and its environs were full of excitement over a National Under-18 Youth Soccer Tournament instituted by the Delta State politician, Michael Diden popularly known as Ejele who was the former Commissioner of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) to develop and engage youths in the restive area.
The grassroots soccer tourney according to a release issued by A Square Sports International that will organize the tourney stated that the motive of Hon. Ejele, the sponsor of the competition is to expose more the youths in the Niger/Delta area to international football hence has arranged for foreign scouts to be on ground during the tourney to fish for talents.
The event for billed to commence on 5th to 14th December would be played inside the Sapele Township Stadium with decent accommodation provided for all the teams within the venue.
“Youths in and around Sapele community were full of joy and praises for the sponsor for bringing the first national football competition to the local government”, the statement reads in part.
Youth teams that are expected to come from all states of the federations were however enjoined to adhere strictly with the regulations stipulated in the registration form for the tournament as the organizer would not condone any contravention of age specified for the competition.
