Red Star Belgrade Loanee Ifeanyi Onyilo Relieved To Get Three Points

Red Star Belgrade loanee Ifeanyi Onyilo was relieved Ermis left the Stadio Dasaki Achnas with maximum points after Antônio de Azevedo scored the winner ten minutes into stoppage time in the tie with Doxa.

The Nigerian attacker netted for the sixth time in the Cypriot First Division, hitting target on the half - hour mark before Ricardo Fernandes restored parity for the away team in the 69th minute.

“We had many chances to kill the game earlier but we couldn’t hit the target until the last minute.  I can say that we were lucky because it’s a very important point before we face Apollon.

“When Doxa equalized they started to waste time, falling on the ground every second,  trying to buy time and that’s why it was so long in extra time,” Ifeanyi Onyilo explained to allnigeriasoccer.com.

Quizzed on the chances of Ermis winning the star match in Cyprus next weekend, he said : “We can get point from Apollon if we work hard for it and it’s a chance to move to second position on the table.

“It will not be an easy game but we will see what will happen after 90 minutes of the game, I hope we win.”

Ermis have won their last five games in all competitions, and sit third in the standings with 23 points, 2 less than their next opponents Apollon.
