John Ogu Scores Second Goal Of The Season, But Will Miss Showdown With Champions
Published: December 27, 2014John Ogu was imperious on Saturday evening as Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated Hapoel Petach Tikva in the Premier League, but his only blip was being sent off in the last minute of regulation time.
The 26 - year - old scored his second goal of the season for the vice - champions , who have not lost at home for more than seven months.
In his post match comments, coach Elisha Levy refused to comment on whether or not the Nigeria international deserved a straight red card.
“Unnecessary exclusion, I will not go into it if it was justified or not. We will play against Maccabi Tel Aviv with players missing,” he said.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide was in between the pipes for the 15th time this season while Michael Tukura made his 14th appearance of the season for Hapoel Petach Tikva.
