Elephants Win Bragging Rights Over Super Eagles

In their first game of the year, the Super Eagles suffered a narrow 1 - 0 loss to Ivory Coast in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Sunday evening.
The Elephants had to wait until the 83rd minute before they could find a way past the Nigeria goalkeeper.
Cheick Tiote intercepted a ball from Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Ali, before laying on a goal for Salomon Kalou.
The result means Ivory Coast now have the bragging rights over Nigeria, having won 7 out of 20 games both teams have contested compared to 6 by the current African champions.
Nigeria will face Sudan in another scrimmage in Abu Dhabi this coming Saturday.
