Knee Injury Rules Ikechukwu Uche Out Of Barcelona Clash
Published: February 11, 2015Nigeria international Ikechukwu Uche has been omitted from Villarreal’s 18 - man squad for Copa del Rey clash against Barcelona.
The forward is undergoing treatment after complaining of discomfort in his knee, and will certainly miss the game at Nou Camp.
Ahead of the game, Uche has supported his teammates to deliver the goods, saying : “ Wish all the best to my teammates for tonight King’ s Cup semifinal against #FCBarcelona #EndavantVillarreal .”
The 31 - year - old believes he is in good hands, with the medical team working around the clock in their bid for the striker to return to full fitness.
Ikechukwu Uche has appeared two times in the Copa del Rey this season.
