Alhaji Gero Misses Out On Gabon Trip, As Siasia Names Squad

Olympic National Team coach Samson Siasia has trimmed his squad to 21 players for the upcoming All Africa Games qualifier against Gabon in Libreville on Saturday.
Surprisingly, Viborg striker Alhaji Gero and ex Samsunspor ace Umar Aminu will not be on the plane to Central Africa.
But Arsenal Under 21 captain Alex Iwobi is in line to play his first game for Nigeria, having been named in the squad alongside Oladele Oshobe, Atanda Sodiq and Saliu Popoola.
Enyimba youngsters Kingsley Sokari and Peter Onyekachi, who were in action last weekend in the Champions League, are among the 16 home - based players named on the roster.
The squad will leave for Gabon on Wednesday evening via Ethiopia Airline.
Under 23 Squad
Goalkeepers: Daniel Emmanuel, Akande Abiodun
Defenders: Obanor Erhun, Okorom Stanley, Oduduwa Segun, Sani Faisal, Sincere Seth, Atanda Sodiq
Midfielders: Azubuike Okechukwu, Godwin Saviour, Tiongoli Tonbara, Saliu Popoola, Oshobe Oladele, Mohammed Usman, Kingsley Sokari
Forwards: Etebo Oghenekaro, Ajayi Junior, Peter Onyekachi, Iwobi Alex, Paul Onwachu, Stanley Amuzie
