Samson Siasia Backing Falcons To Qualify For Olympic Games
Published: February 27, 2015Olympic National Team coach, Samson Siasia, is backing the Falcons to qualify for the Olympics plus the All Africa Games.
The ex Nantes and Flash Flamingoes forward was at the Fifa Goal Project pitch on Thursday to run the rule over the Women’s national team, and he was impressed with the performance of the girls.
“I am happy the girls have started preparations for the qualifiers, though it is coming late but with what I have seen, I believe they will do well to qualify”
“As African Champions, the Super Falcons have done really well. All what they have to do now is to focus on the immediate task ahead and also do well at the World Cup,” said Samson Siasia, according to thenff.com.
Like their male counterparts, the Falcons failed to qualify for the 2011 All Africa Games and the Olympic Games staged in London the following year.
However, Siasia is hopeful that the male and female teams will qualify for both tournaments this year.
