Manu Garba : To Score Seven Goals In Two Matches Is No Easy Job
Published: March 12, 2015Coach Manu Garba was full of joy following the Flying Eagles qualification for the 2015 Fifa Under 20 World Cup, and they did so in style by topping their Group after two rounds of matches.
West African foes Ivory Coast and Senegal played a 2 - 2 draw few hours after the Nigeria Under 20s defeated their Congolese counterparts 4 - 1.
“I’m grateful to Almighty God for qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup. It was a great victory playing most part of the game with 10 men.
“To score seven goals in two matches is no easy job. I believe we are a strong side. My boys have done very well.
“Our target is to win all the matches and that means winning the trophy as well. The first part of the job has been with qualification for the World Cup.
“Now, the other target is to go to the World Cup as African champions,” Manu Garba said in his post match comments, according to cafonline.com.
The Flying Eagles will tackle Ivory Coast in their final group game on Saturday.
