The Super Falcons have qualified for the All Africa Games after thrashing Mali 8 - 0 in their the last round of qualifiers.

Coach Edwin Okon opted to go for a three - woman attack, and it paid off big time, with the strikers netting six goals between them.

Having drawn the first leg 1 - 1, from the blast of the whistle a win looked likely, with Desire Oparanozie opening the floodgates in the third minute.

Nigeria continued to press and Washington Spirit new recruit Francis Ordega increased their lead in the 18th minute.

Asisat Oshoala and Oparanozie compounded the misery for Mali by scoring in the 36th and 44th minute respectively.

Barely a minute after the restart, the Liverpool forward scored her second of the game before Ordega got her own brace in the 62nd minute.

Seven minutes later, skipper Nwabuoku smashed one from 25 years to give the African champions a seven - goal lead.

And it was eight with 20 minutes left after second half substitute Esther Sunday reacted quickest to a rebound.
