Mbakogu Admits Carpi Will Fight Tooth And Nail To Remain In Serie A
Published: April 30, 2015Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu has admitted that Carpi will have to fight tooth and nail to maintain their Serie A status.
The Biancorossi have been promoted from the second - tier to the top division following their goalless draw with Bari on Tuesday, with Mbakogu in action for 89 minutes.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Carpi number 10 said : “A team that can at least fight for their lives. We will be a newly promoted team, we think we can stay in Serie A and will not be easy.
“Knowing the sports director will look for super motivated players, because this is our mentality. Here we run from the first day of training and also in the last match.
“The players who do not want to get are not for us, those motivated will be welcomed in our dressing room. ”
With four rounds left in the Serie B, Carpi have an unassailable 12 point lead over third - place Bologna and two teams are automatically promoted to the top flight at the end of the season.
