Official : Schalke 04 Suspend Sidney Sam
Published: May 11, 2015Through a statement on its official website, German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 has announced the indefinite suspension of Germany international of Nigerian descent, Sidney Sam.
Schalke 04 were looking for scapegoats following the 2 - 0 defeat suffered at the hands of Cologne last weekend.
“After what we saw yesterday and long discussions, we have decided to immediately suspend both Sidney Sam and Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely.
“We have the feeling that the level of trust is no longer there and we’re not convinced that they can help us in the two remaining games against Paderborn and Hamburg,” Schalke 04 said in a statement.
The 27 - year - old Sam is tied to The Royal Blues until the summer of 2018.
